Cuisine Based Tourist Itinerary(JAMMU TOURUSINE)

Jammu city has a unique cuisine and the Dogra dishes are famous all around India.


Tourists coming in Jammu must taste these delicious dishes:Rajma, Aloo Dum, Kashmiri Pulao and Patisa are the prominent dishes that have a special and mouth watering taste. 

Jammu is famous all over India for 

Chocolate Barfi, Sund Panjeeri, Patisa and Rajma. Another renowned dish prepared here is Kalaadi (a processed cheese).Jammu people make some of the famous Dogri dishes like Ambal, Khatta Meat, Kulthein di Dal, Kashmiri Aloo Dum, Phirni, Kashmiri Pulao, Dal Patt, Maa da Madra, and Auriya.Pickles of Kasrod, Girgle, Zimikand, Tyaoo, Seyoo, and Potatoes are also made.Jammu is famous for Gol Gappas, Kachaalo, Gulgule, Rajma Kulche etc.


A 36-course meal called Wazwan is also prepared made by 30 non-veg dishes.

Faluda Ice-Cream

You would probably found Faluda/Matka Kulfi ice cream in Main Purani Mandi Chowk, while seeing the beauty of the ''City of Temples''. You can visit to Ragunath Bazar which is very famous for cultural representation of Jammu and Kashmir, it will become easy for you to purchase those souvenirs you were looking for. You name one thing and you will find that here.

It will be easy for you to find these in Raj Tilak Chowk in Jammu. You will find a heritage exposure of Jammu or a kind of historic background in this area.

Yes!! It is really very famous as Big Celebrities had also visited this Dhaba. You can taste anything here which will surely be tasty.

Kaladi is fermented cheese, which is so cheesy and yummy that if you will taste it once you will surely crave for it afterwards. You will find it anywhere you want.

Banta drinks/ Lemon soda

Banta is one of the most preferred drinks whenever visited Jammu as it is the most delicious and spicy drink

Which is made with the help of lemon and soda water with the mixing of black salt, sugar, chaat masala, black pepper, cumin powder.

It also plays a very important role in improving digestion and overcoming the acidity and the other gastric problems, talking about it's price so it cost just 15 rupees and you'll definitely like it.

So just try it at Fattu Chaughan, City, Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir, India.

Ram ladoo

Ram Ladoo/Moong Dal ki pakodi aur chutney/ Bhalle/Gul-gulle


It is very famous and lip-smacking cuisine and which should be surely tasted if you are visiting Jammu.

The ladoos are prepared with Moong dal(a type of pulses) batter and then fried. It is non-spicy and that's why the chutney is delicious and very spicy. The chutney is prepared with mint, spices(salt, pepper, red chilli powder, raw mango powder), finalized with the sprinkling of radish, onion and green chilli on the top.

If you are visiting Jammu then you can't miss this snack as you all will love this. 
It can be tasted at Ragunath bazar, Maharaja hari singh marg, Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir, India.
